Ed Salter is a Senior Marine Planning Manager at the Crown Estate. Ed has over 10 years of experience working in the marine archaeology field. Prior to their current position, Ed worked as a Principal Marine Archaeologist/Project Manager for MarineSpace Ltd, an English Heritage, and as a Ed'storic Environment Record Officer for Kent County Council.
Ed has a wealth of experience in providing high quality, practical advice and licensing and consenting services for a broad range of marine and coastal development projects. Ed is an expert in advising clients across the public and private sector on archaeological and environmental issues, monitoring and compliance. Ed is also experienced in providing practical advice, guidance and information at all project stages, from pre-application assessment to post consent monitoring. In addition, they are skilled in technical authoring for reports, including Environmental Impact Assessment, Strategic Environmental Assessments and post consent compliance.
Ed is known for their ability to negotiate with Governmental and statutory bodies to ensure pragmatic and proportionate outcomes. Ed has successfully managed projects of varying scale, complexity and budget. Ed is also experienced in commercial business development.
Ed Salter has a MA in Managing Archaeological Sites from UCL and a BA in Ancient Ed'story and Archaeology from University of Leicester. Ed is also certified from the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) as a Fellow.
Ed Salter reports to Dan Labbad, Chief Executive, Executive Board Member and Second Commissioner. They work with Neetu Ogle - Head of Legal & Company Secretary, Jonny Boston - Business Development Manager, Offshore Wind, and Simon Boulcott - Head of People.
