William Mathers

William Mathers is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in the energy sector and a background in accounting and advisory services. Currently serving as the Marine Business Operations Director and previously as Head of Marine Commercial Finance at The Crown Estate since March 2021, William has held key financial leadership roles at several organizations, including Chief Financial Officer at Ping Petroleum Limited and Mitra Energy Limited, as well as at Nautical Petroleum plc. Additional experience includes positions as Group Financial Controller at International Energy Group AG, Global Office Controller at Shell, and Senior Accountant at Woodside Energy. Beginning a career in finance at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, William also served as a Combat Engineer in the Australian Army. William holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from The University of Western Australia and is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
