Harsh Girase

Harsh Girase is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Cruise, specializing in machine learning for autonomous vehicle behavior since May 2022. Prior experience includes research roles at Berkeley Artificial Intelligence Research and the UC Berkeley Human Assistive Robotics Technologies Lab, working under leading professors. Harsh has also held positions as a Machine Learning Researcher at Honda Research Institute USA and an intern at Uber's ATG, focusing on behavior prediction for self-driving cars. Additional experience includes a summer scholarship at Carnegie Mellon University's Robotics Institute, an R&D internship at Kinetic Reality, and research at UC Santa Barbara. Harsh co-founded Volunteer-Connect, developing an iOS app for finding volunteer opportunities. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, both from the University of California, Berkeley.
