Vladimir P. Bermudez

Vladimir P. Bermudez, Ph.D., PMP, currently serves as the Associate Director for the Columbia Initiative in Cell Engineering and Therapy at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, leading cell and gene therapy programs with expertise in strategy, operations management, and business development. Previous roles include Associate Director at Takeda, overseeing allogeneic cell therapy projects, and Global Program Manager at PTC Therapeutics, managing gene therapy initiatives. At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, significant contributions included senior program management in cell therapy, specifically managing CAR T cell therapies and IND submissions, as well as scientific research project management. Vladimir holds an MBA from Boston University, a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and has completed an advanced certificate in Clinical & Translational Investigation from Weill Medical College of Cornell University. A Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology was earned from the University of the Philippines.
