Slobodan Ilic

Slobodan Ilic is a Senior Software Engineer who started working at Crunch.io in September 2017. At Crunch.io, they led the development of an open-source python library for data analysis, reduced excel exporter complexity, optimized custom DB storage format, wrote and ran sensitive migrations on production data, and sparked cross-team collaboration and education. From August 2021, Slobodan worked as a Senior Researcher at The Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia. Before that, they worked at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, where they held roles as an Assistant Professor, Teaching Assistant, and Research Assistant from December 2007 to July 2020. Slobodan also worked at OPTIVIO as a Principal Software Engineer from May 2014 to April 2018, at Reciprocity, Inc as a Full Stack Engineer from May 2016 to September 2017, and at Schneider Electric DMS NS as a Senior Software Engineer/Teamlead from March 2013 to June 2014, and as a Software Engineer from January 2008 to March 2011.

Slobodan Ilic obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electricity Short-Term Load Forecasting from the Faculty of Technical Sciences at the University of Novi Sad. Slobodan completed this program from 2007 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computing and Control from the same institution between 2002 and 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Slobodan Ilic has also obtained several certifications. These include being a MongoDB Associate Developer, completing the Getting Started with MongoDB Atlas program from MongoDB in March 2023. Slobodan also became a DeepLearning.AI TensorFlow Developer through a program offered by Coursera in January 2023. In March 2014, they acquired the 70-483 Programming in C# certification from Microsoft. Finally, in January 2023, Slobodan Ilic earned the TensorFlow Developer Certificate from TensorFlow.
