Tiago Coutinho

Tiago Coutinho has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Tiago is currently employed at Crunch.io as a Software Engineer since October 2021. Prior to that, they served as the CEO at Euro-controls starting from November 2018.

From April 2019 to September 2021, they worked at ALBA Synchrotron as a Software Engineer. Tiago'sresponsibilities included designing and developing real-time visualization tools, creating a detector simulator, and working on laboratory data acquisition and analysis pipelines.

Before joining ALBA Synchrotron, Tiago worked at ESRF - The European Synchrotron as a Software Engineer from March 2013 to August 2018, specifically in the Beamline Control Unit.

Tiago'swork experience also includes multiple roles at ALBA Synchrotron, starting as a Software Engineer from April 2006 to April 2009 and later becoming a Software Coordinator from May 2009 to January 2013.

Prior to joining ALBA Synchrotron, they worked at Siemens as a Software Architect from April 2004 to March 2006. There, they worked on GUI programming for fiber optic Siemens equipment, developed a fiber optic systems simulator, and dealt with communication protocols such as SNMP and Q3.

Additionally, Tiago worked as a Software Programmer at Euroweb from November 2003 to December 2005, where they contributed to building and maintaining websites using ASP and ASPX.

Before their work at Euroweb, they served as a Software Consultant at Deloitte Portugal from September 2003 to April 2004.

Throughout their career, Tiago has gained expertise in various technologies such as Java SWING, C++, MFC, ASP, ASPX, React, FastAPI, and ZeroMQ.

Tiago Coutinho received a licentiate degree in Computer Science from Instituto Superior Técnico from the years 1997 to 2003.
