Chris Bandy has over 18 years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, and programming. In 2019, they began working as a Senior Software Engineer at Crunchy Data. Prior to this, they were the Head of Data Engineering at Sittercity from 2011 to 2019, where they designed and implemented the company's entire data architecture from applications to analytics. Chris also moved all transactional data stores from AWS to GCP with zero downtime and replaced nightly ETL pipelines with a real-time data lake in PostgreSQL and BigQuery. From 2006 to 2011, they worked as a Web Developer and Systems Administrator at Brainband, where they worked directly with clients to gather requirements, set expectations, and manage internal deadlines for multiple simultaneous projects. Chris was also responsible for the company's entire version control system, all databases, and oversaw all project deployments. Before Brainband, they worked as a Programmer Analyst at National Bankruptcy Services from 2001 to 2006.
