Amy Wood has a diverse work experience in the entertainment industry. Amy started their career at ArcLight Cinemas/Pacific Theatres, where they served as the VP of Marketing and later became the Director of Marketing. During their tenure, they focused on developing and implementing cross-platform marketing initiatives and reducing operating expenses. Amy also played a key role in shaping Arclight's successful digital strategy.

In 2011, Amy joined Summit Entertainment as the VP of Exhibitor Relations. Their responsibilities included building strong relationships with US movie exhibition partners and ensuring optimal in-theater marketing for film releases. Amy implemented innovative solutions that increased trailer placement while reducing the budget and developed a model to project weekly trailer placement.

In 2012, Amy joined Lionsgate as the EVP, SVP, and VP of International Distribution. Amy oversaw the distribution of over 140 films to more than 70 international territories, contributing over $7.5 billion in international box office revenue. Their achievements were recognized when they were named one of CJ's Top 50 Women in Global Cinemas in 2018.

In 2020, Amy became a board member of the AJA Foundation, further expanding their involvement in the industry. Currently, they hold the position of VP of Global Theatrical Distribution at Crunchyroll, a role they started in 2022.

Amy Wood has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business Administration from American University. Amy also studied Self Management Theory under Jeremy Hunter at Claremont McKenna College. Additionally, they completed a Full Quarter Program in Creativity in Business, specifically focusing on Michael Ray's teachings, at Stanford University.
