Latisha McDowell began their work experience in 2010 as a Transportation Intern at Lowe's, where they executed multiple projects across various departments. Latisha then moved on to The Moore School of Business, where they worked as an Office of Career Management Student Assistant. In this role, they coordinated with office personnel to ensure superior service for students, managed student assistants, and counseled undergraduate students. In 2011, McDowell joined Palmetto Health as a Business Process Improvement Student Analyst, where they identified and improved process inefficiencies in the Microbiology Laboratory inventory management system. Latisha recommended modifications to the inventory system, resulting in potential cost savings of $135,907. McDowell then transitioned to the U.S. Federal Government as a Logistics Professional, enhancing the supply chain from office level to global activities through process analysis and improvements. Latisha also managed communications, utilized Excel PowerPivot and Power Query for data analysis, and generated key metrics. McDowell's next position was at Alton Lane as an Operations Analyst, where they refined the global supply chain for luxury garments. Through process improvements, they increased on-time delivery from 65% to 96% and introduced a vendor scorecard to improve the performance of fabric mills. In 2017, McDowell joined Capital One as a Product Manager and Process Manager. In this role, they drove results by executing data-driven strategies, managing projects, and leading process improvements. Latisha successfully increased users and usage through defining and executing product strategy, conducting user interviews, and restructuring user analytics. McDowell also accelerated the pace of delivery through project management and agile methodologies. Finally, in 2023, they joined Crunchyroll as a Senior Product & Engineering Operations Manager.
Latisha McDowell attended the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business from 2007 to 2011. During their time there, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on Global Supply Chain and Operations Management, Business Economics, and International Business. In 2009, they also briefly studied Economics at the University of International Business and Economics.
In addition to their formal education, Latisha has obtained several certifications. Latisha became a Certified SAFe® 5 Scrum Master through Scaled Agile, Inc. in June 2022. In July 2015, they obtained the Certified Knowledge Manager certification from the International Knowledge Management Institute (KM Institute). Latisha also earned a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Sonoco in May 2011. Finally, in September 2020, they became a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) through the Scrum Alliance.
