Dan Hutchins

Dan Hutchins is currently an advisor at Cruz Foam. Dan was previously a patent attorney at Christensen O'Connor Johnson Kindness PLLC from May 2017 to April 2019. There, they were responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent applications, preparing infringement, non-infringement, and invalidity opinion letters, and conducting pre-acquisition due diligence of target company patent portfolios. Cruz Foam was their previous company prior to that. Before becoming a patent attorney, they worked as a process engineer at KitoTech Medical, Inc. from June 2012 to September 2012. Dan also worked as a researcher/graduate student at Jen Research Group from December 2008 to June 2012. Dan's first job was as a summer intern at Harbor Consulting Engineers, Inc. from June 2005 to October 2008.

Dan Hutchins has a Doctor of Law from Santa Clara University School of Law, a MS in Materials Science and Engineering from University of Washington, and a BS in Materials Science and Engineering also from University of Washington. Dan is certified from the State Bar of California in California Bar, Washington State Bar Association in Washington State Bar, USPTO in Patent Attorney, and U.S. Courts of Appeals in United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
