Marco Rolandi

Marco Rolandi is Co-founder and Chief Science Officer of Cruz Foam. Marco holds a MS in physics from the University of London (Queen Mary) and a PhD in Applied Physics from Stanford University. He is currently Professor and Chair of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at UC Santa Cruz. His research (highlighted in the New York Times and Washington Post) focuses on naturally sourced materials with applications in bioelectronics, medicine, and sustainability. Marco, an avid waterman and ocean lover, co-founded Cruz Foam in 2017 after growing increasingly frustrated with finding plastics in every corner of the ocean.
