Jon Maliepaard

Jon Maliepaard is currently the CEO at Crypta Labs. Prior to this, they were the Head of Growth at SOCIALDATABASE from May 2019 to February 2021. During their time at SOCIALDATABASE, Jon worked closely with Founder/CEO Thomas and the team in order to enable the business to scale. Together they implemented systems, structures and reproducible processes that created efficiencies and allowed the business to grow to new levels. Jon also targeted new regions and customers in order to increase product reach. Jon's high point while at SOCIALDATABASE was getting the company awarded Twitter Official Partner status.

Before SOCIALDATABASE, Jon was the Entrepreneur In Residence at Fortrino from March 2017 to May 2019. Prior to that, they were the Head of Rest of World Sales at Blue Robot from July 2016 to December 2016. Before that, they were an Investor, systems architect, and revenue optimiser at This is Productivity from February 2006 to August 2013. And before that, they were the Co-Founder and Technical Director at WineWeb from July 2016 to December 2016.

Jon Maliepaard studied electrical and electronics engineering at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Jon also attended St Josephs College, where they studied under the Marist Brothers.
