Joel B.

Joel B. began their career in 2017 as a Sales Assistant at Rebel Sport. In 2018, they took on the role of Technology Analyst Intern at Silent Bull, while also working as a Student Manufacturing and Automation Engineer at ResMed. In 2020, they became a Mechatronics Engineer at Max Automation Pty Ltd, where they used RESTful API to implement full stack flow for users to control and view IP cameras (RTP) via the ONVIF protocol, implemented front end user experience and UI design using WPF with MVVM architecture, UI design for remote operation diagnostics of a continuous underground miner via a windows application (WPF, C#, MVVM), PLC and PDM communication integration with windows applications (TCP, UDP, C#), development of background data logging application (C#, dependency injection), embedded systems programming of PLC's using structured text (CODESYS), CAD development and manufacturing of Ex d (Explosion Proof) enclosures, and developed two products which have subsequently been commercialised. In 2021, Joel B. took on the role of Software Engineer at CryptoTaxCalculator.

Joel B. graduated from UNSW in 2020 with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons)/Computer Science in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering, Computer Science. In 2019, they attended the University of Pennsylvania for a Mechatronics and Computer Science program. In September 2021, Joel B. obtained a Learn to Lead with UNSW 2021 certification from UNSW and in April 2022, they obtained a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
