Michael Steffl

Michael Steffl is a seasoned professional in the travel and cruise industry with extensive experience in sales and management. Currently serving as the Director of Trade Sales EMEA at Crystal Cruises since September 2024, Michael previously held the position of Head of International Sales at Hapag-Lloyd Cruises from April 2005 to September 2024. At Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, Michael oversaw a fleet known for ultra-luxury and expedition vessels, including the award-winning EUROPA2. Prior to this, Michael worked as a Regional Sales Manager at Hapag-Lloyd, supporting travel agents and executing customer events in various German territories. Earlier career roles include District Manager at L'TUR Tourismus AG, managing multiple branch offices, and positions as Tour Sales Executive and Travel Industry Coordinator at Hertz Autovermietung GmbH. Michael holds a Diplom-Betriebswirt (FH) in Tourism from Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences, completed between 1990 and 1994.
