Alex Obrien

Alex Obrien is an experienced software engineer and design leader with a robust background in UX and visual design. Currently at Crystal Dynamics since November 2018, Alex previously held key positions at notable companies such as Airbnb as Experience Design Manager, overseeing the design system, motion graphics, and accessibility. Prior roles include Global Art Director at Sony Mobile Communications, where Alex led design for Xperia smartphones and wearables, and Visual Design Manager at Google, responsible for aesthetic direction of the Android operating system and implementing the "Material Design" initiative. Alex's extensive experience in various creative roles is complemented by a formal education at California College of the Arts.
