Ryan Schmies

Ryan Schmies is an experienced professional in creative leadership with a focus on outdoor sports design and marketing, boasting 20 years of expertise. Currently serving as an Ambassador at Crystal Mountain Resort since September 2020 and Art Director at SCHMIES DESIGN STUDIO since January 2017, Ryan has collaborated with top brands such as SMITH Optics, Snowbird, REI CO-OP, and Red Bull Media House. Prior experience includes roles as Global Design Manager, Senior Graphic Design Lead, and Graphic Design/SKI Marketing at K2 Sports from October 2003 to May 2016. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, earned between 1998 and 2003.
