Val Vanderwyk

Val Vanderwyk is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in organizational leadership and community engagement within the health and safety sector. Currently serving as the OHS Field Services representative at the Workers Health & Safety Centre and President of Festival 2024 at Anangokaa, Val has held the position of Executive Director at the Aboriginal Apprenticeship Board of Ontario since June 2019. In addition, Val contributes as a member of the Board of Directors for the Aboriginal Skilled Workers Association and chairs a technical committee at CSA Group focused on developing a national standard for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility in apprenticeship programs. Val also fulfills the role of Secretary Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Grand Valley Education Society.
