Pekka Uusitalo

Pekka Uusitalo is an experienced professional in the fields of industry engagement, partnerships, and sales. Currently serving as the Director of Industry Engagement and Partnerships at CSC - IT Center for Science since November 2015, Uusitalo leads initiatives to enhance the RDI activities of Finnish companies using the EuroHPC LUMI platform. In addition, Uusitalo has been a Board Member of NORDUnet since June 2018, chairing the board from 2018 to 2020, and served as a Board Member for Otaverkko Oy until September 2023. Previously, Uusitalo held the position of Strategic Alliance Manager at Juniper Networks, managing partnerships with Nokia and Ericsson from March 2008 to April 2015. Uusitalo's career also includes significant roles at Cisco Systems and Hewlett-Packard, starting in 1989 with a Master's degree in Engineering, specializing in Telecommunications from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan.
