Tommi Nyrönen serves as the Director and Head of Node for ELIXIR Finland at CSC - IT Center for Science since February 2007, collaborating with key institutions such as the Institute for Molecular Medicine - FIMM and the National Institute for Health and Welfare THL. Nyrönen has extensive experience in research infrastructure service development for life sciences and has held various roles, including Program Director and Development Manager for EU projects. Additionally, Nyrönen is a Docent at the University of Helsinki, specializing in computational drug design, and has been a board member of the ISB Graduate School in Informational and Structural Biology. Previous leadership roles include Chairman of the Board for Vallilan Asunto-Osuuskunta, as well as positions at EMBL-EBI and FBD Ltd. Nyrönen's educational background includes a Dr. Phil. in Biochemistry from Åbo Akademi University and bioinformatics studies at the University of Cambridge.
