Dr. Robert Harrington

Dr. Robert Harrington has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Dr. Robert'smost recent role is Director of AI & Machine Learning at DISCO, where they currently hold a position. Prior to that, they worked at Tessella as a Senior Data Scientist from 2017 to 2019. Dr. Robert also served as the High Energy Physics Silicon Detector Lab Director at Brown University from 2016 to 2017. Dr. Robert'searlier experience includes positions as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of Edinburgh / CERN (2011-2016), Boston University / CERN (2007-2011), and Northeastern University / CERN (2003-2007). Dr. Harrington also worked as a Manufacturing Manager at KLA-Tencor from 2000 to 2002. Dr. Robert started their career as a Navy Officer in the US Navy, where they held various roles from 1993 to 2000, including serving aboard the USS John C. Stennis.

Dr. Robert Harrington holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in High-energy physics from Northeastern University, which they earned from 2002 to 2007. Dr. Robert also has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics from The University of Texas at Austin, awarded from 1988 to 1993. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained a certification in Financial Engineering and Risk Management Part I from Coursera Course Certificates in 2016.
