With a deep understanding of issues such as poverty, housing, food systems, and child welfare, Kara has developed successful programs and campaigns that optimize public sector efficiency while enhancing client outcomes. Kara has held senior roles at organizations such as the City of New York and World Animal Protection, where they led significant initiatives and reforms. Currently, Kara owns Kara Mergl Photography, focusing on capturing authentic portraits, while also pursuing a Master of Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania.
