David Alonso is a Senior Research Scientist at the Spanish National Research Council, where they focus on the ecological and evolutionary principles underlying infectious diseases and biodiversity in relation to global environmental change. Previously, David held positions as a VENI-NWO Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Groningen and a Research Fellow at the University of Michigan, where they developed stochastic models for disease transmission and community dynamics.
