Gabriel Cristobal is a seasoned research scientist at CSIC, specializing in image processing and pattern recognition since 2003. Prior to this role, Gabriel served as a visiting scholar at the International Computer Science Institute from August 1989 to August 1991, focusing on image processing, signal processing, and neural networks. Gabriel's academic journey began at the Instituto de Optica (CSIC) as a PhD student in the Imaging and Vision department from September 1982 to December 1986. Gabriel holds a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering and an MSc in Telecommunication, both from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, with the MSc obtained in 1979 and the PhD completed in 1986.
