María Dolores Castro Cadenas is a dedicated researcher with a focus on marine sciences and sustainable management. Currently serving as a Research Fellow at the Regional Academy on the United Nations, María Dolores is involved in a project aimed at enhancing the role of AI and data in promoting women's leadership within the Sustainable Energy Revolution. Concurrently, María Dolores works as a predoctoral researcher at CSIC, evaluating nature-based solutions for fisheries management in the Mediterranean Sea. Previous experiences include a visiting researcher position at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, trainee roles at the Biodiversity Foundation and European Parliament, and research internships focused on social-ecological systems and marine conservation. María Dolores holds multiple advanced degrees in Marine Biological Resources from prestigious institutions including Sorbonne University, Ghent University, and the University of Gothenburg, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the Universidad de Sevilla.
