Pablo A. Postigo is a Professor of Optics at the University of Rochester since July 2021 and a Research Scientist at CSIC since 2000, specializing in nanophotonics, quantum photonics, and various applications such as photonic crystals and solar cells. Previously, Postigo served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1997 to 2000, focusing on the monolithic integration of lasers with VLSI electronics. Earlier, Postigo was a Basque Government Pre-Doctoral Fellow at CSIC during 1992 to 1996, where the PhD thesis addressed reflectance difference spectroscopy in semiconductor device growth. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Solid State Physics from Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea and a PhD from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
