Dr. Amit Sharma is a Senior Principal Scientist at the CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation, a position held since March 2004. With extensive experience in synthesizing and characterizing conducting polymers through chemical and electrochemical techniques, Dr. Sharma specializes in the fabrication of devices such as sensors, gas sensors, and biosensors using conducting polymers and carbon nanotubes. Dr. Sharma holds a degree in Physics and Material Science from NIT Kurukshetra and Delhi University, with education stemming from the UP Board.

Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO), a constituent unit of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), is a premier national laboratory dedicated to research, design and development of scientific and industrial instruments.
