Dr. Niroj Kumar Mohalik

Dr. Niroj Kumar Mohalik is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of mining engineering and environmental safety, currently serving as a Professor in Engineering Sciences at the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research since July 2021, where responsibilities include teaching and mentoring Master's and PhD students. Simultaneously, Dr. Mohalik holds the position of Senior Principal Scientist at CSIR India, focusing on improving workplace safety through the establishment of mine ventilation standards and compliance audits. Prior experience includes a significant tenure as a Scientist at the Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research from December 2001 to November 2021, where Dr. Mohalik specialized in mine fire detection, prevention, and control, and developed the Fire Interpretation Diagnosis and Assessment software. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Mine Environment from the University of Nottingham and a Master of Technology in Environmental Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Dhanbad.
