Bailin Wu is a CSIRO Honorary Fellow with extensive experience in rock mechanics and geomechanics. They began their career as a Rock Mechanics Engineer at BP Research Centre from 1990 to 1993, focusing on wellbore stability and hydraulic fracturing. Bailin subsequently served as a Senior Principal Research Scientist at CSIRO from 1993 to 2024 and as a Principal Geomechanics Engineer at Schlumberger from 2006 to 2010. They earned a PhD and DIC in Engineering Rock Mechanics from Imperial College London, complementing their academic credentials with multiple degrees in rock and solid mechanics from leading institutions in China.
