Yaniv Kurman is an accomplished researcher specializing in quantum computation and thermodynamics. Currently serving as an Early Research Career Fellow at CSIRO since August 2024, Yaniv bridges the gap between these two fields. Prior experience includes a role as a researcher at Quantum Machines from September 2022 to September 2024, focusing on quantum error correction and its application to large-scale quantum computing. Additionally, Yaniv held multiple positions at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from March 2017 to September 2022, including PhD candidate and undergraduate project supervisor, where significant contributions were made to projects involving entangled 2D surface polaritons and gamma-ray detector design. Teaching experience encompasses courses in Electromagnetic Fields and Quantum Technologies. Yaniv holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Physics and Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Technion, completed in 2016.
