Brian Hart

Deputy Director and Fellow, China Power Project

Brian Hart is the deputy director and a fellow of the China Power Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where they also lead the Hidden Reach initiative. Their research centers on topics such as Chinese foreign and security policy, Taiwan security issues, and U.S.-China relations. Brian is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations and is actively involved with the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations. Prior to their current role, they gained experience at various organizations, including the Project 2049 Institute and Wake Forest University. Brian earned an MA in China studies with honors from Johns Hopkins University and holds a BA in politics and international affairs from Wake Forest University.
