Christopher Painter currently serves as President of The Global Forum on Cyber Expertise Foundation and holds positions as Commissioner for the Global Commission on the Stability of Cyberspace and Board Member at the Center for Internet Security. Previous experience includes serving as a William J. Perry Fellow and Lecturer at Stanford University, Coordinator for Cyber Issues at the U.S. Department of State, Senior Director for Cybersecurity at the White House National Security Staff, and roles with the U.S. Department of Justice, including Deputy Assistant Director of the FBI Cyber Division. Christopher Painter began a legal career as an Associate at Arnold & Porter and a Law Clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals, after earning a JD from Stanford Law School and a BA in Political Science, English, and Biology from Cornell University.
