Jane Nakano is a senior fellow in the Energy Security and Climate Change Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where they focus on U.S. energy policy, global market developments, and energy security issues in the Asia-Pacific region. Previously, Nakano worked in the U.S. Department of Energy and served as a special assistant at the U.S. embassy in Tokyo, among other roles. They hold a master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and graduated from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
