Kari Bingen is an accomplished expert in aerospace security and international relations, currently serving as the Director of the Aerospace Security Project and Senior Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies since February 2020. Bingen holds additional roles as a Non-Resident Senior Adviser at Georgetown University’s Strategic Studies Program and an Adjunct Assistant Professor. Bingen's extensive experience includes advisory positions with Beacon Global Strategies, Calypso AI, Common Mission Project, and previously with BLUE ORIGIN and HawkEye 360. Prior government experience encompasses serving as Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence & Security at the U.S. Department of Defense and as a policy director for the U.S. House of Representatives Armed Services Committee. Bingen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics, alongside a Political Science degree, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
