Mathias Zacarias

Mathias Zacarias is currently an Associate Fellow and Energy Transitions Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where they focus on advancing equitable energy transitions through assessments of decarbonization technologies and policies. Previously, Mathias served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology and held positions as a Structural Engineer Intern at Uzun + Case, LLC, and a Research Assistant in various roles related to environmental hazards and energy systems. Mathias has also volunteered at the Southface Institute and interned with the CSIS Energy Security and Climate Change Program. They are pursuing further education at Yale University, expected to conclude in 2026.
