Mike Casey

Michael Casey is a recognized leader in US national security with extensive experience in policy development, risk management, and strategic planning. They served as the Senate-confirmed Director of the National Counterintelligence and Security Center, where they produced the National Counterintelligence Strategy and enhanced collaboration between government and the private sector. From 2016 to 2023, Michael was the Staff Director of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, advising Senator Mark R. Warner and overseeing the Intelligence Authorization Act. They have also held significant positions in the House Armed Services Committee and as Legislative Director for Congressman Vic Snyder. Currently, Michael is a Senior Advisor at CSIS, a Board Member of the SECURE Center, and a Commissioner on the Commission on Reform and Modernization of the Department of State. Michael holds an MA in National Security Studies from Georgetown University and BAs from the University of Kentucky in Political Science and History.
