Ryan Berg

Ryan Berg, PhD, is the Director of the Americas Program and head of the Future of Venezuela Initiative at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Currently an adjunct professor at the Catholic University of America and a course coordinator at the United States Foreign Service Institute, Ryan’s research encompasses U.S.-Latin America relations and defense policy. Previously, Ryan served as a research fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and held positions at the University of Oxford and the World Bank. Ryan has published in various academic journals and major outlets, testifying regularly before congressional committees. Additionally, Ryan holds advanced degrees in political science and global governance from the University of Oxford and a B.A. from Georgetown University.
