Anthony Stowers is a seasoned biopharmaceutical professional with extensive experience in recombinant and gene therapy product development at CSL Limited since February 2019. Stowers holds the position of SVP for Recombinant & Gene Therapy Product Development, and previously served as SVP for Recombinant Product Development and Head of R&D at CSL Behring since August 2002. Stowers has been responsible for the design and implementation of global R&D activities, focusing on the development, transfer, and scale-up of manufacturing processes for recombinant therapeutic proteins. Prior roles include Senior Director positions in R&D and Bioprocess Development, with significant involvement in late-stage development of recombinant coagulation factors and oversight of the Bioprocess Development Unit. Stowers also has prior experience at the National Institutes of Health, where leadership in the Malaria Vaccine Development Unit contributed to significant advancements in vaccine research and development. Stowers holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from The University of Queensland and a Graduate Certificate in Corporate Management from Deakin University.
