David Lucas

David Lucas, MD, MBA, CPE, FCAP, FASCP, LSSBB, is currently an Assistant Professor of Pathology and Medical Director of Laboratories at WVU Medicine, where they oversee various hospital laboratories and lead pathology services. They have previously held roles as a Staff Pathologist and past Chairman of Pathology at Independence Health System, implementing significant improvements in laboratory operations. A veteran of the United States Navy, David served as a Hospital Corpsman and held a general medical officer position, providing care in various settings. They hold an MBA from Youngstown State University and a Doctor of Medicine from Drexel University College of Medicine, along with specialized training in cytopathology.
