Peter Schmidt is currently the Director of Protein Biochemistry at CSL, having previously served as the Director of Recombinant Technologies and a Senior Research Scientist in the Purification Technologies Group. Peter earned a Diplom in Biology, specializing in Neurobiology and Biochemistry, from Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg. Their research journey includes a PhD at Bayer HealthCare focused on Nitric Oxide signaling, an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship at Monash University, and a Postdoctoral position at Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg. Additionally, Peter worked as a Research Scientist at CSIRO Materials Science and Engineering, contributing to research on Influenza.
