Megan Slater

Megan Slater has a strong background in epidemiology and research. Megan started their career at the University of Minnesota as a Community Health Coordinator before pursuing a Pre-doctoral fellowship in the Epidemiology PhD program. In 2014, they joined CSR, Incorporated as a Research Analyst, where they worked on the Alcohol Epidemiologic Data System contract with the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. After three years in this role, they were promoted to Project Director, where they were responsible for managing contract performance, compliance, and quality of deliverables. Megan's expertise includes preparing epidemiologic surveillance reports, conducting statistical analyses, and providing consultation to stakeholders.

Megan Slater has a strong education background in the field of Epidemiology. Megan began their educational journey at Willmar High School, although the specific dates are unknown. Later, they attended North Dakota State University from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Zoology, with minors in Statistics and Chemistry. Following that, they attended the University of Minnesota from 2006 to 2008, earning a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, specializing in Epidemiology. Megan continued their studies at the University of Minnesota from 2010 to 2014, completing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Epidemiology.
