Shashi Bhat

Shashi Bhat has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. They started their career as a Software Engineer at Tulip IT Services Ltd, where they primarily developed reports and user interfaces using Powerbuilder and Oracle. They then joined ANS Software Pvt. LTD as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were responsible for developing and customizing various online database systems. They also worked on applications in sales, marketing, and finance using Sybase SQL Anywhere, SQL Server, and Powerbuilder.

Shashi then served as an Application Developer Consultant for the Texas State Government, working on architecting, designing, and developing Powerbuilder applications. They focused on code reusability, adhering to Object-Oriented Technology Standards, and designing generic modules to meet agency-wide business needs.

Next, Shashi worked as an Application Developer Consultant at Black & Veatch, where they developed a water pretreatment application for the water industry using Powerbuilder and Oracle. They also designed conceptual and physical data models, developed PL/SQL programs, and created interfaces for mail-merge operations.

They then joined the Kansas City Aviation Department as a Senior Applications Developer, where they designed and developed client/server windows applications and services using C#, VB.NET, ADO.NET, Microsoft Word, and other APIs.

Shashi's next role was at Terracon, where they served as a Manager and Lead for Mobile & Enterprise Application Development. They managed the development of mobile and enterprise applications, worked closely with the development team for architecting solutions, and served as a Technical Project Manager/Scrum Master using Agile methodology.

Currently, Shashi is employed at CST Industries, Inc. as the Senior Director of Information Technology. In this role, they lead technology innovation and digital transformation, lead product teams for building scalable and available systems, and strategize information security controls. They also previously held the position of Director of IT Application Services at the same company, where they managed the development of enterprise applications and content management solutions and established software development competency within the organization.

Shashi Bhat attended Wharton Executive Education from 2023 to 2024, where they completed the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Program in the field of Information Technology. Prior to this, Shashi Bhat earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Mysore. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Ottawa University, with a specialization in Angell-Snyder School of Business.
