Walt Skovron

Director Of Coating Technology at CST Industries, Inc.

Walt Skovron has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Walt started their career in 1983 as a Ceramic Process Engineer at California Metal Enameling Co., where they formulated porcelain enamel coatings for steel and aluminum substrates. Walt then moved on to Porcelain Metals Corp. in 1989 as a Finishing Engineer, responsible for formulating enamel coatings on steel for various applications. At General Electric, they worked as a Technical Support for Porcelain Enamel, supporting porcelain enamel powder coat operations. Walt also worked at Henkel as a Chemical Sales representative, selling pre-treatment chemicals to automotive manufacturers. Eventually, Walt joined General Electric again in 2010 as a Sr. Advanced Development Engineer, where they researched, developed, tested, and approved new technologies for appliance finishes and adhesives. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Coating Technology at CST Industries, Inc., where they are responsible for improving coating quality at three manufacturing facilities.

Walt Skovron obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University, where they attended from 1981 to 1983.
