Mark Bass

Mark Bass has held various leadership roles throughout their career. Mark most recently joined CSW Industrials Inc. in June 2021 as the Vice President and General Manager of Specialized Reliability Solutions, as well as the President of Whitmore, LLC. Prior to that, they served as the President of North America at Birla Carbon from September 2017 to July 2020. Mark also held the position of Head of Global Sales for the Specialty Blacks Business at Birla Carbon from July 2013 to August 2017, and was the Director of Sales for North America from January 2010 to July 2013. Earlier in their career, Mark worked at NuQuest Inc. as the Chief Financial Officer from March 2009 to January 2010 and served as the President and CEO of Peach State Hardware, Inc. from June 2006 to January 2009. Mark also held positions at Solutia, where they were the Global Business Director for Nylon Fibers from April 2005 to June 2006, and the Global Business Director for Acrylic Fibers from March 2002 to April 2005.

Mark Bass completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University, attending from 1989 to 1993. In 1999, they pursued a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance at Emory University's Goizueta Business School, completing their studies in 2002. Prior to their time at Auburn University and Emory University, Mark attended Martin Methodist College from 1987 to 1988, studying Liberal Arts. No specific degree was mentioned for their time at Martin Methodist College.
