Program Integrator - OSD Strategic Capabilities Office at CTI

Brent Hashimoto has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Brent currently works at CTI as a Program Integrator for the OSD Strategic Capabilities Office. Prior to this, they were employed at Amentum as a Subject Matter Expert for the Strategic Capabilities Office Integration with USARPAC/USINDOPACOM.

Before joining Amentum, Brent served as a Managing Director in the South Asia & Oceania Policy Division (J53) at U.S. Pacific Command from 2015 to 2018. Brent also worked at US Army Japan, where they held the positions of Managing Director for the Security Cooperation and Host Nation Affairs Directorate - G5, and Chief of International Military Affairs.

Brent has international experience as well, having served as the Chief of the International Engagement Cell at the NATO Training Mission - Afghanistan. Brent also held the position of Branch Chief for the Allies and Partners Strategic Focus Group at U.S. Pacific Command, and worked as a Joint/Bilateral Operations Officer at US Forces Japan.

Earlier in their career, Brent served as the Secretary General Staff and the Liaison Officer for the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force at US Army Japan.

Throughout their career, Brent Hashimoto has developed expertise in strategic capabilities, policy planning, international engagement, security cooperation, and joint/bilateral operations.

Brent Hashimoto completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics at Virginia Military Institute from 1984 to 1988. Brent then pursued their Master's degree in Asian Studies with a concentration in Japan at the University of Hawaii at Manoa from 2000 to 2002. In 1999, they attended the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center to study the Japanese language. Lastly, from 2011 to 2013, they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Military Security Policy and Strategy from The United States Army War College.
