Te-Yang Soong, Ph.D., P.E. has a diverse and extensive work experience. Te-Yang is currently a Member of the Board of Advisors at the Geosynthetic Institute (GSI), a position they have held since December 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Chairman of the Bioreactor Committee in the Landfill Management Division at the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) starting from March 2009. From April 2004, they worked as the Principal Engineer and Vice President of Engineering Services at CTI and Associates, Inc. Additionally, they have served as an Adjunct Professor at Lawrence Technological University since September 1999. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Consultant at Earth Tech from July 1994 to April 2004, and as a Research Engineer at the Geosynthetic Research Institute from August 1996 to July 1999.

Te-Yang Soong, Ph.D., P.E. earned their Ph.D. in Geotechnical/Geosynthetic Engineering from Drexel University. Te-Yang completed their doctoral studies at Drexel University from 1990 to 1996.
