VP, Technology Programs at CTIA

Jeff Simmons is the Vice President of Technology Programs at CTIA, a trade association representing the wireless communications industry. Jeff joined CTIA in January 2005 as the Assistant Vice President of Wireless Internet Development, and was quickly recognized as an expert on short codes and mobile channels.

Under Jeff's leadership, the CSC program grew to support 1000s of businesses, and they were instrumental in developing CTIA's Super Mobility educational platform. Jeff also spearheaded ongoing business development efforts globally, launching new revenue-producing options such as abbreviated dialing codes and mobile advertising.

In 2015, Jeff saved CTIA ~$3M annually by revamping the CSC program and leading the transition from Neustar to iconectiv platform. Jeff maintained every customer and increased sales volume by 10%.

Jeff Simmons has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Wake Forest University School of Business and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting and Business/Management from Montana State University-Bozeman.

They are on a team with Doug Hyslop - VP, Technology & Spectrum Planning, Harish Punjabi - Director, Wireless Technology, and Raj Sengupta - Director, Wireless Technology. Their manager is Tom Sawanobori, SVP & Chief Technology Officer.
