Nick Anderegg has a diverse background in various roles within the technology industry. Nick started their career as a Technology Captain at Penn State Dance Marathon in 2013. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Center for Language Science, Penn State University, where they designed and implemented a behavioral paradigm for investigating language learners' encoding of novel phonological information.

In 2015, Nick joined Western University as a Graduate Researcher, where they worked on projects such as quantifying visual similarity of Chinese characters, automated extraction of typical sentences for reading experiments, and developing Python packages for handling large database dumps. Nick also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant during this time.

In 2017, Nick transitioned to the role of Technical Writer at Sourceress, where they honed their skills in writing and communication. In 2018, they joined Platform.sh as a Developer Relations Engineer, working on projects such as building an open-source Python library and writing API documentation.

From 2020 to 2021, Nick worked as a Developer Relations Consultant at ZYMBIT, where they launched a centralized documentation website and developed a tool for generating parallel documentation for different libraries. Nick then moved on to Aptible in 2022 as a Developer Advocate, collaborating with customer reliability engineering and support teams to improve developer documentation.

In 2022, Nick also briefly worked as a Developer Relations Consultant at a Software/Code Integrity Startup, where they gained knowledge about software integrity regulations and produced an introductory guide to Software Bills of Materials (SBOMs).

Most recently, Nick is currently working as a Developer Advocate at CTO.ai, where they focus on advocating for developers and improving public-facing developer resources.

Throughout their career, Nick has demonstrated a strong technical background with expertise in Python, API documentation, and developer advocacy. Nick has also shown a proficiency in collaboration, communication, and a passion for helping developers and advancing technology.

Nick Anderegg attended Penn State University from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics and Psychology. Following this, they attended Western University from 2015 to 2017, working towards a Master's Degree in Cognitive Psychology. However, they did not complete their degree, as they did not complete the required thesis.
