Daniel Cress has a diverse education history. Daniel first attended King City Secondary School from 2005 to 2008, although it is not specified if they obtained a degree or focused on a specific field of study during this time. Following high school, Daniel pursued a degree in Journalism, Communication and Media Studies at the University of Ottawa from 2008 to 2011, earning an Honours Bachelor of Journalism.

Daniel then enrolled at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology from 2011 to 2013, where they obtained a Diploma in Journalism. Daniel returned to Algonquin College during the same period to pursue another Diploma in Journalism, although the specific degree name is not provided.
