Courtnay Sanderfer

Courtnay Sanderfer, MPA, SPHR, SHRM-CP has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources and organizational excellence. Courtnay is currently working at Engage fi, first as a Director of Human Resources and then as the Vice President of Human Resources. In these roles, they are responsible for overseeing HR functions and implementing people strategies to support the company's goals.

Prior to Engage fi, Courtnay served as a Board Member at Florida Sterling Council and Florida Diversity Council. These roles allowed their to contribute to the development and promotion of diversity and excellence initiatives within the organizations.

Before that, Courtnay had a significant tenure at USF Federal Credit Union, where they held various leadership positions. As the Vice President of HR & Organizational Excellence, they led the implementation of people strategies, drove organizational change, and served as a culture champion. Courtnay also provided talent management solutions, developed effective leaders, and increased employee engagement. Earlier in their career, they held roles as the Director of HR & Organizational Excellence, HR & Performance Excellence Manager, and Sr. HR Business Partner at the credit union.

Courtnay Sanderfer holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from the University of South Florida. Courtnay also earned two Bachelor of Arts (BA) degrees, one in Psychology and the other in Criminology, from the same university. In terms of certifications, Courtnay is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and holds the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation. Courtnay obtained their SPHR certification in August 2019 and their SHRM-CP certification in August 2015. Additionally, Courtnay has achieved certificates in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace as well as Modern Management Tools from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in 2021.
