Francisco Valdez de la Fuente has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Francisco is currently working at Cube Dev as a Lead Solutions Architect, where they are involved in building The Semantic Layer for data apps. Prior to this, they were a Senior Data Engineer at Komodo Health, where they delivered key initiatives and collaborated on technical architecture designs. As the CTO and Co-Founder of Dat's Why, they developed Big Data Analytics software and created a cloud-based Mobility Intelligence Platform. Francisco also worked as a Senior Consultant - Senior Data Engineer at Qbiz Inc., building end-to-end data solutions with ETL pipelines using Big Data cloud technologies. Francisco has also held roles as a Senior Data Engineer at BriteCore, Senior Developer at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Research assistant at Universidad Iberoamericana, and Data Analyst at Grupo Punto Objetivo. Throughout their career, Francisco has gained experience in various technologies and tools, such as Spark, AWS EMR, Hadoop, Snowflake, Airflow, Hive, Presto, and GUI design.

Francisco Valdez de la Fuente holds a Master's degree in Data Science from UC Berkeley School of Information, which they completed from 2021 to 2023. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Electronics & Computer Science from Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de México from 2006 to 2011. Francisco also has additional certifications, including being a 4 kyu Codewarrior from Codewars since May 2018 and being an AWS Certified Solutions Architect from Amazon Web Services (AWS) since February 2020.
